They won't speak up because they are towing the party line. Harry Reid has been very pro gun and is part of the reason you will never see a gun control bill make it out of the senate.

This is a crisis manufactured by the media. Obama has no hope of ever seeing gun control legislation come out of congress and he knows it, thus the executive orders. All he needs to do is issue an executive order that includes confiscation of "assault weapons" and the powderkeg will go off.

A sad statistic I was told while in AZ. 10% of the U.S. population are pro-gun hunters. 10% are anti-gun, and 80% are the uncaring imbeciles that don't care either way, and generally only act on emotion.

Well what is strange is that FoxNews who is more right than left, but tell the all around story is the most viewed on cable. Not only that, but shows like O'Reilly, and Hannity are most viewed across the board.

So the new American way is to shut up and take your handout, everyone is special and deserves what everyone else has, the media is not agenda driven and is always truthful and accurate, we can legislate/regulate/ban our way out of any problem, laws prevent crime, and the government knows what's best for you?

My opinion is that there is a number of people that choose to not watch ANY news source, the same ones that are sick of hearing about politics and are mad that "Dancing With The Stars" is getting less airtime on the news. The screwed up thing is those same fuckers are voting.

I think that most people don't realize how pro gun this country is. This is a very lopsided issue. People won't stand for any sort of confiscation program at all. Look at the number of people joining the NRA. I don't care for them all that much but I signed up for a lifetime membership today.
