Attorney General Eric Holder indicated that President Obama might turn to executive orders to implement his agenda on guns in the wake of the Sandy Hook shooting.

“The Obama administration will consider executive actions and specific proposals for legislation as part of its gun policy response to the school massacre in Newtown, Connecticut, U.S., Attorney General Eric Holder said on Wednesday,” per Reuters.

Holder, who is traveling to Newtown today, said they are considering their options on executive orders: “Those options will have to include a ‘strong and robust’ Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, the chronically under-funded agency that enforces federal gun laws, he said.”

That’s the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives that ran Operation Fast and Furious, in which U.S. law enforcement allowed drug cartels to purchase weapons in this country and smuggle them into Mexico

good luck with any of this BS....the two largest gun stores in the 5 county area are EMPTY. Not one single AR, lower receiver or even a "high capacity" magazine for ANYTHING can be found around here. Hell, I had to drive to Dallas to get the rifle I was looking for and I had to pay a premium at Jackson Armory to get it....not really. It was a good price but more than my cheap ass wanted to pay.

Only things left on the shelves are shotguns and bolt action rifles. The cases were so empty at my favorite local store that they were spacing them out with 10" between the guns to make the cases look full. Where they used to have 15-20 AR's, SCARs and AK's up on the wall for display, they had 10/22's and some .270's just to fill the space.

Independence Firearms down in Brenham had a line outside the building with 43 people in it at 10:47am this morning. There were 40+ inside and they opened at 10:00....

The rediculousness of trying to ban anything when the 4 to 6 million guns on the shelves just walked out the door is stupid at best. Did they ever determine if the Newtown Shooter actually used the bushmaster or was it in the trunk?
