We are closer to finalizing arrangements for our group of about 20 teachers to go through a free class on pistol training, hand to hand, and CHL licensing. I'm finding it awesome that so many companies are stepping up and offering their classes at no charge to educators.

Texas Weapons Institute out of Killeen is coming all the way up here to Wylie to teach the course, at no charge.

That is great to hear. And cheers to the offers of no charge traning. Keep me informed on how this turns out. It could lead to a more wide spread help for our educaters.

I haven't the time to scratch my own nuts these days. It would be fun though. I just don't think I can be faithful to a scheduled event. I'll concider it.

there's no doubt in my mind that my bride would put herself between the kids and an attacker . i also think she would empty her 38 into one if it was there. every time there is an unarmed teacher between the kids and the nut job.

Hand to hand or better said "Self Defense" and I emphasize "self" comes nothing close to the training I think should be required. All it does is to give the victim confidence and a few tools to escape a rape or mugging. These teachers need to take a yearly coarse in tactical training. At least in hand gun and some class room situational training.

No, it's not. If you say they need additional training, and then say "I have the ability to help out with that, but I'm not going to" or "that's not the kind of training I was talking about", we have a silly comment. That said, asking you to help solve the problem instead of just downing the idea is not silly.

I never said that I had the ability to offer the teachers the proper training needed to "carry" in schools. All I said is that I had taught many of the self defense classes. Which offers basically NOTHING in a school massacre situation.

You basically said that even though you have helped train people in basic hand to hand in the past, you are too busy to do the same today. I was more asking if you would be willing to help help people be more prepared to defend themselves if it happens again.

This is about beat to death at this point. I'm willing to help, you're not. Though you are more than willing to draw negatives to A plan, which is better than what you have, which is NO plan.

And you can not definitively say that if you gave a handful of sandwich making women a better idea on how to defend themselves that it would not be THE key to prevention. That sir, is impossible.

At any rate, I'm done with this Wayne. I'm going to continue getting teachers through the CHL process, and I'm going to continue setting them up in classes that instruct them in basic proficiency and hand to hand. You have fun tearing shit down on the internet.

WTF happened to you? Its like you think you have evolved and become someone bigger and better. Unless I'm wrong (and I might be) all you are doing is promoting something you believe in and show them the way down the hall. I'm pretty sure you ain't teaching these classes, right, wrong?

And wtf makes you think I'm tearing anything down? Just because I share the same feelings that CHL instructors and police as well as a host of others believe, you say that I'm tearing down.

Actually I'm doing just the opposite. I want to save our rights to carry. You put a average chl holder in a school massacre situation, they will sooner than later have our rights taken from us by the stupid mistakes they will make because of the lack of training. Don't you get that? Why do you think its so important for our police to take so many tactical courses? Even our military. I'm not saying that they need to take all the tactical courses there are. That would be ridiculous. But most tactical training facilities offer tailored training for particular situations, such as schools.

You IMO is the one who is promoting the tearing down of what we hold as our givin right by mass producing holders. You gamble our rights by thinking that the number game will stop stupid. It may detour a few and yes, you win that argument, but you soon loose the whole purpose.

God forbid that we have tons of carry pieces that we are shooting across a classroom distance blasting rounds till the weapons are empty. Scares the hell out of me. As for the classes, I put the instructors together, arrange for classrooms, arrange for ranges, sign them up, and all the other shit associated with being a leader.
