At least in hand gun and some class room situational training.

Silly how you think I could back up my previous statements based on basic self defence training...

No, it's not. If you say they need additional training, and then say "I have the ability to help out with that, but I'm not going to" or "that's not the kind of training I was talking about", we have a silly comment. That said, asking you to help solve the problem instead of just downing the idea is not silly.

there's no doubt in my mind that my bride would put herself between the kids and an attacker . i also think she would empty her 38 into one if it was there. every time there is an unarmed teacher between the kids and the nut job.

You in to help further training for about 20 teachers, one day?

Texas Weapons Institute out of Killeen is coming all the way up here to Wylie to teach the course, at no charge.

That is great to hear. And cheers to the offers of no charge traning. Keep me informed on how this turns out. It could lead to a more wide spread help for our educaters.

But it's you kids at risk here, sacrifice them if you will.

Besides, there are schools here in Texas that have armed teachers. If I had school aged kids, that's where I would move to.
I totally agree with you. My only argument in this matter is that there be additional training for the schools to allow teachers to carry on school ground. A second class of CHL, if you will.

The argument presented is that no one will be willing to get the extra training. Much less pay for it. But I think that's wrong also. The ones that actually want to carry will absolutely pay for and get the training. Teachers want to have that option to be able to carry at schools, and something that small is not gonna stop them. After all, they went several years of collage just to teach. What's that compared to a few weekends a year for training, that I may add could also be tons of fun.
