Just because it's easier doesn't make it right.

when a couple rotten apples keeps ruining the bunch, its easier to just get rid of the damn tree.......wait...yeah. i think. Im not trying to get rid of yalls damn guns. I dont care really but i know a couple of bad guys who own a few and a crazy, on psych meds, lady who owns guns and buys one every chance she gets and i feel like they should own a firearm. Personally, i want an RPG, or does that not count as a Bear arm?

Thats because young people are idiots. If you require special glasses to drive or your arthritis inhibits you from gripping a steering wheel or youre going senile, you probably should be driving.

    1. Who determines a proper eval for a gun owner?
    2. Would someone who thinks the eval is bullshit be ineligible?
    3. Who is going to pay for it? Taxpayers or another bullshit cost on to the gun owner?
    4. If a person is deemed ineligible, what happens to their guns?
    ...so on and so forth.

If something like this is done, EVERY American would have to be pushed to this - because there are thousands of ways to kill, mass kill...etc.

Guess what, only good folks would do it. Criminals would have no interest. It's a rabbit hole that should never be considered. Honestly, I think any gun control is a rabbit hole we'll never be able to climb out of.
    1. Whomever is in charge of all the CHL stuff i guess.
    2. Sure, sometimes i think voting is BS but i do it anyway....for the lulz
    3. Probably another Bs cost i guess.
    4. This should be a new thing, starting soon. Maybe they get grandfathered in or some bs.
Im just suggesting that all gun purchases should be handled as if one was trying to obtain a CHL. I agree that it is a rabbit hole but we gotta start somewhere i guess. Fyi, i dont own a firearm only because i think theyre expensive and im not THAT into them but if that your thing, cool. I dont know how the whole gun purchasing thing goes but it seems like it would be easy to get one. I found out last week that i have a warrant out for my arrest in FB and Garland. Will that show when i apply for a CHL or try to purchase a firearm? Would it say the type of warrants i have? I wouldnt buy one anyway cause im poor, just wondering.

Chl folks have to maintain a license right? Just make everyone who owns a firearm have to do something similar.

Maybe they should implement a psych evaluation along with your Driver License renewal too.

    Lmao at that last line.

"No, but thanks. You go and get your ass shot up!"

And thank you for appreciating the sanctity you would be invading. Refreshing to hear from an actual LEO that he appreciates what that exercise would entail.

    This is directed at John...

Let's just play stupid and say that some sort of confiscation is enacted. Do you realize the manpower it would take? I don't have any coworkers that would follow the orders, but let's say some give in. I'll be generous and give you 10% of the municipal police force in America. It will take decades to contact every gun owner. Are we just going to forget about the other troublesome amendment, ya know the 4th. If not, there are going to be some busy judges reading and signing warrants. That shouldn't cause any further backlogs in the legal process.

The main hurdle to confiscation is most LEOs and military just don't believe in it. It's hard to convince a man to do something he doesn't believe in. I don't have a problem risking my life every night I go to work. If I need to kick a door in and enter a potentially deadly situation I'm ok with that. I signed up for it. But you tell me I am going to forcibly enter an otherwise law abiding citizen's house, knowing they are armed, and try to take their weapons. No thanks. I guess you can take care of it John.

Overly strict gun laws has to be the answer, maybe they can get hints from Norway it protected them really well in 2011.
