I pay railroad retirement tier I and tier II and I know those cheap bastards won't allow us to pay 2% less. As it is right now I think my contribution alone is over 15% for both of those.

Here is an easier one I'm filling up this week and next with a small portion of the discretionary/mad money account. 8 stocks under $5, equal $ amounts in each. Will hold for 2 years or major correction which every comes first.

C, ARIA (little over 5), SATC, ACHN, GMR, MFG, LSI (at 6), VTG.

Really like ARIA in biopharma and might just put some more $ into it. They have Ridaforolimus Phase 3 SUCCEED trial data coming out early 2011. Options market is looking like it has some room to run.

Yeah, but Farrow Tech has a drug called Parattin in the third stage of FDA approval. All in!

Most people I talk to have nothing but good things to say about you, but you sure come across as a condescending prick. Do you have an inferiority complex you've attempted to overcome through overachievement? Or were you fondled as a child?

You and slow99 should date. You both have passive aggressiveness down pat.

First Blu-ray I bought...have to watch it at least every few weeks. The President of our Investment Fund at UT is the one who prosecuted the real-life "JT Marlin".

I don't know anything about those except for C and I have owned that since last year at $3.62.

MFG is a bank in Japan. It is a deflation play. If deflation does happen my guess is Japanese banks are the best managed since they'll dealt with it going on two decades! Same play as C... beaten down banks.

SATC is a renewable energy play.

                            ACHN is another biopharma play.

LSI is a semiconductor play in the networking/storage market.

GMR is a crude oil transporter.

VTG is an offshore driller out of Houston.

As you can see I'm looking at energy, biopharm and banking to recover in 2011. Small part of the overall portfolio and certainly the most fun to play with.

Whats going on with SATC, looks like a real turd that hasn't made money in years but is at a multi-year high?

I think renewable energy is really attractive because I expect oil to be right back at $150 a barrel in the next two years.

Towards the end of a bull market run the speculatives start getting played. Had better than expected earnings the 3rd quarter. Turnaround.

I guess, really, all the stocks I listed are turnaround situations with some momentum going into 2011. If the market holds they should do well or at least enough of them to make up for the laggards and bombs.
