Mine wasn't. Hell we had off campus lunch when we were Jr's and Sr's. I would say lately, yes since the school shootings, it has increased security and all of that though. Truancy has always been a problem, but usually the cops would just tell you to go back or write you a ticket. This tracking bullshit is just that, bullshit.

Chris, what high school did you go to again? Lamar? We had open campus lunches at Martin, and I frequently wouldn't come back. I honestly have no idea how I never got in trouble for it, because I skipped a TON. They never even called my parents.

Glad to see this was knocked down. Part of growing up is extricating yourself from that organized mess and making your own decisions, bad ones included.

My school had off campus lunches and a generally open campus until my class became juniors. Then they locked everything down, literally. They had locked gates installed at the parking lot exits.

Mansfield. The Jr early release ended 2 years after I graduated though. But I believe they still have Sr. Release. Early release and block scheduling FTW.

lol, fucking tell me about it. Hated high school, but outside of the classroom I was having some pretty great and wild times. All I thought about growing up was turning 16 and getting my license so I could get a car and drive. Once it happened I went completely crazy.
