The assholes on both sides need a reality check. I just tend to notice more atheists making spectacles of themselves. Admittedly, I could be a little biased. I grew up in a very religious house, and ALL of my family is very religious. I get just as annoyed by the preaching and judging as I do by, for instance, Sean. But the little things, like "In God we Trust", prayers before a meal, etc dont bother me in the least.
In Sean's defense, I told him his militant atheism was annoying as fuck, and he does seem to have laid off of it a bit.Originally posted by BradMBut, just like condoms and women's rights, I don't believe in them.Originally posted by LeahIn other news: Brent's meat melts in your mouth.

A small portion of the population that seeks out confrontation with the majority under the guise of equality.
I don't go to church or beat the bible, but I do recognize churches go out and help the sick and needy spreading good will by and large.
What do atheists do besides cause people grief?
I don't ever recall seeing them doing this - do they?

I too grew up in a religious house, as a religious person. My mother is Roman Catholic, and my father Southern Baptist, so that point has no bearing on bias. By your own words, you describe yourself as a theist, that's the source of your bias.

Originally posted by bcoop View PostI don't really see much of a problem with that, honestly. The guys I volunteer with, do the same. They'll feed you, but they don't get served until after about a 10 minute talk about God, the Bible, etc. I support their right to do it. We fund this out of our own pockets. There is no charity. There is no campaigning for donations. This is our/their money out of our/their pockets, and our/their time. We/they can do with it as we/they see fit.
Not really. It's not that I believe some supreme being exists. I'm undecided. That said, I think it's a little naieve or close minded to think that it's impossible for one to exist.

That is beyond fucking retarded. You're smarter than that, Sean.
