Don, I appreciate the sentiment but it seems all for not. We are now destined to walk down a path that others have which will test the spirit of this country and the will power of her citizens. I think that Obama will be a 1.x term president, I just debate with myself how that will happen.

My party? My "party" didn't get a VP elected. You on peyote again?

Haven't you identified yourself as one of the leftists in the past?

On certain issues, yes. As a whole, I'm libertarian.

If you're referring to the time I said I was going to vote for Obama, it was a troll job aimed at Vertnut, since he said none of the lefties had the balls to say they were going to do it, on the boards.

You obviously don't know how Bain Capital worked, nor how the financial system works at all. China owns 1.5 trill of the debt, while all foreign held debt is around 4.5 trill.

If you seriously think Romney would have fixed the debt problem, you are just as ignorant as the next welfare monkey with an obama phone.

..and neither will Obama. No one could "fix" the debt problem in 1 term and I don't think anyone expects it. I think what a lot of people are looking for (and what I took from the OP) is someone to start making the tough choices to start down that path.

No shit? Maybe it's why I said this...

The debt problem is something that will require a lot of pain... A LOT of pain... from us John Q. Public. I said he may well have been martyred for the cause, because the changes needed are NOT going to be popular.

Well, just glancing, there are tons of errors with the data posted in here. Yes, we have way too much fucking debt... The true unfunded numbers get it to over $65 trillion.

Most people I talk to have nothing but good things to say about you, but you sure come across as a condescending prick. Do you have an inferiority complex you've attempted to overcome through overachievement? Or were you fondled as a child?

You and slow99 should date. You both have passive aggressiveness down pat.

I have no doubts that the realistic figures could be way way way outside of what they report (compounding interest and factoring in inflation and where it would be when we're supposed to pay it off etc), but it's still pretty grim.

This is EXACTLY why a private central bank is the best way to enslave an entire nation.

They print the money (which should be ours), loan it to us AT INTEREST, and THEY get paid because they printed the money out of THIN AIR.
