FYI everyone will be -2% on your check next week and every week after. Obama care kicking in and no payroll tax break

Hell, even if they put in spending cuts, it's based on base line spending that increases every year without a vote. This is about the increases on the increase

        Reference post #58.

The 2% reduction was never intended to be permanent.

I told you nothing would happen. There's always a last minute "fix" to something that is not a world-ending problem, like it is made out to be. They do this dog and pony show to make you think you're getting your money's worth out of these "hard fighting" politicians that stay up to the wee hours of New Year's to deliver exactly what could have been delivered months ago.

The media's theatrics will aid in the drama. Never fails.

Truth is, this country could run so much better with less than 1/2 of the politicians and about 1/3rd of this total government.

And it doesn't matter if they came to this agreement months from now. "Retroactive to January 1" makes it all better

Thank God, disaster averted. Paul Ryan voted "Yes" BTW....

The fiscal deal, though, still pushes off a permanent decision on the spending cuts until two months down the road, when lawmakers could find themselves in a similar position. And lawmakers are poised to renew a fight in a matter of weeks over raising the debt ceiling – which the U.S. government would have hit Dec. 31 if not for the Treasury Department taking emergency measures.

I thought you wanted Ron Paul to leave? Now things can finally get better with people like Ryan and Boehner leading the way by example...

                                1. Fuck Boehner. I say bring Newt back in. You don't have to be a member of the HOuse to be Speaker.

                                2. Ryan has his flaws and I do not agree with everything he does. Yeah, I voted first for Cain, then Newt, and then Romney. Remind me, how many votes did Paul get? And you can go total from all of his failed attempts.

                                3. Paul has said himself that the issue is with career politicians and they should have term limits. While serving for 30 years. I'll let you think on the hypocracy of that.

                                4. Paul's son voted Mitt.
