I don't think he means any secret high tech weaponry but maybe just more advanced than a normal citizen would have. Most people wouldn't have full auto weapons, smoke/flash grenades, body armor, etc... at their disposal and wouldn't have the same training that the people they would send out probably do. I'm only speaking for the average gun owner here, obviously.

There already taking your guns....you commit a act of family violence we must ask you for all your weapons...if you fail to comply...its put into the report....to recieve a bond to get out of jail a judge must set your bond.....if the arrest report states you refused to hand over your weapons the judge isn't suppose to issue you a bond to get out of jail....you choice, this is being conducted in the 7th largest city in the united states.

If memory serves me right, Bosnia would be a good example of what happens when the military turns on its civilians. Took the US/UN to get that situated and that was genocide. Not the simple confiscation of weapons. Either way, they were mostly armed too (legal or not - don't know but we'd get TONS of guns in the UN Amnesty program). Just not organized like a military/government group would be - at least in comparison to a bunch of us operating mostly independent of each other.

A lot of cultures have large families living together, tribes whatever you want to call them. Right off the bat, they are more organized than most us in comparison.

I think it would take more than gun confiscation for the US population as a whole to revolt - is really what it boils down to. Without a bigger percentage fighting back, I just see failure.

I'm not saying you should not resist/fight back, but a person should have a good expectation of the end result and prepare accordingly if the gov starts taking guns.

Drones are pretty neat, but as we have seen they can be taken down. I'm not seeing missiles used on population centers because of the cost of repairing the infrastructure. It's why we didn't use them in Iraq. Hell, we have ROE's that state if an insurgent enters a building we are to fall back and try negotiation.


Edit: We do have some pretty neat taser walls, microwave crowd dispersion tech and then there's the wall of sound equipment but all of those require trucks full of equipment and power sources and can't be used in cities or even in the country that well. Deer rifles are a bitch.
