If this was really a democracy where the individual vote mattered, I would agree. But being in TX, my vote doesn't matter. I also think voting for someone I don't fully support is a wasted vote. I think Romney is closer to what we need financially, than Obama is. But he's shithouse nuts on many other topics. In fact, the economy is the ONLY thing I agree with him on. And I'm just tired of the lesser of two evils. Fuck all that. American politics are broken, IMO.

I wont dissagree with anything above, and while I think the same about my vote not being nessisary in Tx, I like to bitch and its really fun to throw out the " I voted for the other guy" comment whenever I want. Cant say that if you dont vote at all.

You are aware of the fact there are more offices being voted for than just president, right?

I believe Obama's side already has 100+ lawyers in place already. The RNC has quite a bit as well.

And yes, I do still think he will win, unfortunately.
If you want to throw your vote away, do so on Gary Johnson. If he carries 5% of the popular vote, the Libertarian Party gets federal election money in 2016 - a much larger mouthpiece for effectual change.

That's the closest we'll come to a win this election.

I was going to suggest the same thing.

The only way the election will be clean, is if Romney just blows his doors off so badly, that the electoral count is beyond question.

So how would facilitating the conveyance of public funds to the Libertarian Party in the form of federal election money be considered a win? One more pig at the taxpayer trough is all that amounts to.

Don't they Dems and GOP already receive federal election money?

Yes, but they can opt in or out. There's about $90 million for each candidate for 2012, which is absurd. They raise enough on their own.

Yes, but no one is claiming either of those parties to be a mouthpiece for effectual change in the taxation arena. If the Libertarian Party is opposed to wasting taxpayer money, why should they not consider acceptance of taxpayer money for their own campaigning expenses to be an equal waste of public funds?
