Avery's dad is the ideological liberal. The world to him is very simple. Republicans are evil rich businessmen that want to destroy/enslave the poor minorities and factory workers. Whats the #1 job of the federal government? (supposed to be anyways) Protect us, and our interests from foreign countries. I don't care the # figure we spend on the military, as long as we don't buy $200 hammers. If we need more boats to keep our interests safe then so be it. If the Navy says we don't need them, then I don't see a problem.
Maybe the gov. could reform the whole bidding project system, pay for research, own the rights to the tech, and find the best bidder. So you don't have the ubber rise in costs like the F22. Of course this will never happen, if its a good idea or not.Comment
