You'r kinda right in comparing Barry to JFK as they both had poor track records in their decision making. You need to research the Bay of Pigs, The Diem Assasinations, The Missiles in Turkey that led to the Cuban Missile crisis.
They were both idolized by the news media. Back then, the news never told the public about JFK's romantic affairs, BUT,there were no holds barred when it came to National Security. Cronkite, Huntley and Brinkley et al are rolling in their graves with the what their respective agencies are doing now. Our only saving grace is the modern appliances we have today are outing what was hidden before.
I'm way older than most of you guys. I remember being taught "duck and cover" in our classrooms, when Kennedy was shot and my first Presidential election in 1968. You have way more info available to help make a correct decision on the direction our country needs to go..JFK's spoken words at his Inaugural should be the guide for us today...

2008 has nothing to do with Kennedy and the kind of intelligent leadership he displayed. Google his debates with Nixon for a snapshot of how a real candidate handles real issues in a public forum without stumbling and muttering "uuuhhhhh" every other word. Then Google Jimmy Carter for a much more valid comparison to the current POTUS.
