LOL I love watching you spin out of control on farcical tangents. That company never asked it's employees to, "vote Repub or get fired", no matter how you want to spin it.

So here. Since you want to discuss "threatened to vote", let's look at real voter intimidation. Guess which candidate they were propping:

40 hour work week? Slave you will work till I tell you to go home for the same money or you will be on the street.
Vacation? Sure take a permanent vacation.
Raise? Be happy you have a job and I don't take half your pay.
      Company store? Yep
      Company town? check!
If you don't think that would happen you haven't been paying attention. Ethics in this country have went to shit. Look at Enron, Madoff, Lehman bros, the list is endless and is normally driven by the super wealthy with no morals.

Gosh, I wonder 95% of people in this country manage working at non union jobs? I guess they don't get any benefits and go in and kiss the owners boots every morning? Maybe you could explain it to me without all the alarmist bullshit you've been eating by the shovel full?

Teacher and public servant unions are killing the upper half of this nation.
No idea on GM I never worked there. I do know about AA. The mechanics are paid less than any other major airline but the ceo is paid at the top. Arpy did not want to file bankruptcy and he retired in protest when the board of directors did file. How can you file bankruptcy when you have 4 BILLION dollars in cash and many unnecessary properties.
The pilots are a different story but IMO alot of it is frustration with how management does things.

You have those benefits now but would you still have them with no unions and many of the regulations that the unions fought for repealed? I don't know and neither do you. Hopefully yes but I can see a scenario where you wouldn't. Be honest, is it a possibility?

Every major corporation in the United States has a CEO paid at the top. There are so many laws nowadays that unions are a joke. Like talisman said, about 95% of Americans work at a non-union job, myself included and I'm doing just fine. I work in the defense industry at an aircraft assembly center and I can guarantee you that people across the board in this industry are worried about keeping their jobs if Obama is elected. It wasn't a threat, just a company being informative to its employees. It's uneducated fucks like you that are giving this country a terrible name and causing it to be what it's become.

And they could easily go away with all the other regulations that "stifle business and prevent companies from being profitable." You guys always harp on laws that regulate companies....aren't those laws the same? I could see some super rich company owner saying "to be productive I have to be able to make my people work more than 40 hours a week but I can't afford to pay overtime for it" can you help me mr. senator?
Will it happen? Maybe maybe not. With unions they at least watch for that kind of stuff.
I maybe stretching plausibility but I might not also.

So what's the net cash balance when you have 17 BILLION in debt, professor?

You and slow99 should date. You both have passive aggressiveness down pat.

There are alot of plus sides to the union but I tell them to piss off about this time of year, they are 10 times worse than the company.

That's why they have been so vilified in the last 30 years. The rich have been attacking the middle class for 30 years and the first thing that has to go is unions.
You need to read up. There is a very good writeup on the unions and the coal mines. You should start there. Google it.

He can't be bothered with math. It's above his pay grade, and there is another union monkey that's supposed to do that.

If you knew how much senseless money they have blown you wouldn't be surprised. But yeah I guess it's ALL the unions fault.

So, have you figured out what business you have created, how many employees you and have if you're paying people starting out with no experience 20 bucks and hour plus comprehensive benefits?
