All kidding aside, I would agree with that. PBS has a lot of great programming. It's kind of like having Discovery and History channels, among others, all rolled into one, and it's free.

Pbs is great. It's discovery, history channel say 1990ish. Before. All the b.s. shows.

And you have to factor in that the Street has gone hard left the last 5 or so years, become more politically forceful, adding in gay marriage and other hot button topics. Cut their funding 100% and let them sink or swim based on their programming. Seseme Street made 211 million 2003-2006.

I actually hope they keep funding PBS. There are some really good shows on there.

PBS is perfectly capable of funding themselves. The worry I would have, is if they have to compete in the market, how many reality shows would show up in the programming.
