As my original post said Dems and Repubs will not be swayed one way or another by a debate. Dems will be for obama and Repubs will be for Romney no matter what. C. A Family of 4 that owns a house and has 4k interest and makes 31k a year will not pay income taxes. And that with only standard deductions and interest deductions. Add other deductions and their wages can go up without paying income tax.

No I didn't vote for carter. The first election I could vote in was Reagan and I voted for Reagan. That doesn't mean I wasn't paying attention earlier.

I'm actually closer ideologically to a Libertarian according to the website that was posted in here last week but since Gary Johnson doesn't have a snowballs chance in hell of winning I have to vote Dem. I matched GJ 87% Obama 58% and Romney 27%. So until a viable third party comes along I'm a Dem.

Because the alternative is a conservative Republican who is totally disconnected from the working class. As I've said in previous posts I don't like EITHER party but until a viable third party comes along my ideology means I'm closer to the Dems than the Repubs. Especially after Bush/Chenny.
And the attitude of many repubs that act like Buzzo and The King, calling names and talk down to people reinforce the attitude that Repubs are elitist and think everyone else is beneath them.

Really? Go back and see how many threads and replies talk about how Democrats are all on welfare. And that the 47% are all leaches, if anything the numbers in my examples are understated. Pay attention to the things your brother repubs say.

When I voted for reagan I was voting for a strong military. I voted for Bush 1 for the same reason. I wanted to vote for Perot because I believed what he said about Nafta and how it would hurt the middle class and america. I used to think that I would never vote Democrat again after the Carter presidency, but I did wind up voting for Bill Clinton during his first term. Never regretted doing so, but he's the last Dem I've experienced who was worth voting for.
