Bullshit. That movie came out months ago.

And he's going to tell us that all of these countries just ovenright decided to attack embassies at the same time over some movie that no one has cared about for months?

White House press secretary Jay Carney said Friday the violent protests throughout the Middle East are not directed at the United States or U.S. policy but are a response to a YouTube video: CARNEY: We also need to understand that this is a fairly volatile situation and it is in response not to United States […]

It also had only a few thousand views on youtube the day of the attack. No way it 'swept through the middle east'

I'm sure it had nothing at all to do with the anniversary of 9/11.

Remember, Carter got us this result in 1980. ** Holds breath anxiously**

Carter also had a much more substantial lead over Reagan at this time as well. But, that was also Reagan.

Agreed, it was/is probably total coincidence that 9 11 is also our number for a distress call. And that this occurred 11 years to the day after that attack.

Seems like a bit of a stretch on those two... especially the second. Why would they care that it's 11 years later? It's the anniversary and it comes once / year. This one happens to be when we have a weak president in an election year.

If anything I'd be more inclined to note the coincidence between the Sep 11 2001 attacks and the Sep 11 1683 start of the Battle of Vienna.

The Battle of Vienna was basically the last time the Muslim culture had a stronghold in the western world. It was the Holy Roman Empire v. The Ottoman Empire and the European victory essentially sent Muslims packing for the next 300 years.

This victory freed Europe from the Ottoman Turks and their invasions and secured Christianity as the main religion in all of Europe.
The feast of the Holy Name of Mary is celebrated on 12 September on the liturgical calendar of the Catholic Church in commemoration of the victory in this battle of Christian Europe over the Muslim forces of the Ottoman Empire
Though it was not evident at the time, the Ottoman tide had turned at the Gates of Vienna and was about to recede, beginning its long withdrawal through the Balkans and Greece into Asia Minor over the next two centuries.

Carter still had a lead in the final polls that were taken 2 weeks before that election. Also remember that the media was not near as brazenly-in-the-tank as they now are for Barry.

Up until now, I have felt that Obama would still win this election because Romney is such a weak candidate. This week has changed my mind. Mark my words, this is the week that cost Obama his re-election. He's done.

Then there was his unconstitutional war in Libya which is costing a fortune, his illegal bypassing of bankruptcy laws in GM and Chrysler which again, destabilized the market, then cash for clunkers which effected parts, wrecking yards, used car sales....want me to keep going or are you ready to run and hide again?

So summary: Obama's anti oil policies and rhetoric, combined with moratoriums and a refusal to sign leases on federal property and the refusal to sign off on the Keystone pipeline has increased the cost of oil. His interference in the middle east also has kicked it up and those chosen to write the energy policies and environmental policies as well as Obama himself, have shown that they are anti oil which drives up prices

You really don't know Obama started an unconstitutional war in Libya? You don't pay attention do you?

As far as the rest, I've been within 4 feet of Obama. A bunch of us veterans were invited to the White House for the resigning of the American's with Disabilities Act. When it came time to shake our hands, he looked at our military stuff (hats, shirts, backpacks, etc) turned and walked back to the WH. Fuck him.

This is how close I was:

Biden wouldn't do any better. Or Boehner. Just thinking out removal actions and how far term limits need to go.

Frost, you forgot to get the blessing of Congress first, even though they hit US soil first.

                              Amirite?
