Breaking News:
This morning, the National Archive was opened missing one of it's star attractions. For over 200 years, the Constitution of the United States has remained the guideline and framework for the country and this morning, under Executive Order, it was removed from it's blast proof cradle by Secret Service and National Archive agents for, what is being called by Jessie Thompson, Head Archivist, "a well deserved update."
An early release from the Office of the President, states that "For over 200 years the Constitution has been altered by amendment, to reflect the will of the people. It has been altered to reflect an abolition of slavery, of welcoming immigrants to our borders regardless of legal status and of making those who make the most, pay their fair share. Today, by Executive Order, I have removed the Constitution from the Archives to change it once more. As an expert on the Constitution and a Constitutional Professor, I can tell you, the founders never foresaw the gridlock that would erupt in Washington. They would have never seen AK-47's that gun down our children or the top 2% paying less than the average American."
"So today, I decided to do something about that. As we all know, the Constitution is a skeleton document that can be altered. By my authority as president, in light of the do-nothing Congress, I invoke my authority and signed an Executive Order authorizing new amendments to this beloved document to reflect the changing times."
"While the wording is still being worked out, you can be assured that with these changes, the Affordable Care Act, Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid and other programs that have been questioned for generations, will be constitutional, in black and white, to end this discussion and move us forward. The debt ceiling, the cause of the majority of the gridlock in Washington, will also be removed, granting the office of the President, the authority to pass budgets that reflect the desire and the need of the country."
"And finally, I am including language to keep our children safe and make sure the top 2% pay their fair share. I look forward to rolling out the new amendments sometime this coming week, thank you."
While the President didn't get into many details, it will certainly be interesting to see the amendments he is writing in and the new path he is leading us down. It certainly will be a great day in America.
