Hmmm .... guess I will just go call my little brother and let him know it wasn't a real enemy.

How the fuck can you say there was no real enemy with men and women dying over there?
I'm not taking away from what happened to your brother so please don't take it that way.

Our reason for deploying to Iraq was built on a lie. There were no WMD's, ever. Terrorist training camps were of such little significance that they were actually irrelevant and did not pose a threat to our nation.

Hussein had no military, no support and no ability to defend himself. He was never able to recoup from desert storm and that was evident the moment our boots hit the ground. He was a washed up old man found in a hole with a bucket to shit in.

The enemy we have been fighting since are Taliban soldiers that went to Iraq to fight us. Iraqis that oppose the occupation and have taken up arms against us. And it wasn't like our declaration of war and impending invasion was some damn secret. Shit was all over the news in every country before we even deployed.

Well this should get pretty interesting as the normal responders wake up and respond.

Well that is funny since a friend of mine and a very frequent visitor of the board has posted a shitload of photos of them removing huge canisters of chemical weapons.

You are REALLY confused......but not surprising seeing as the lib controlled media feeds you the bullshit they want to feed you.

Shot to the head? Why didn't you duck? All kidding aside. I don't know what it's like to get shot in the head but a shot to the ribs that puncture a lung, a shot to the hip and one to the knee I do know about. My hip still clicks when it's cold and clacks when I run. And my knee will always feel like I am having growing pains.

Who was the enemy though? Was it the natives fighting off the invaders or was it the invaders trying to decimate the natives?

9/11 happened, it sucked. I requested permission from my CO to drop what I was doing and go to NYC to help. 12 hours later, delayed due to traffic, we opted to park in Brooklyn and foot it in to the city. Even after being there and seeing all the chaos, pain, blood, pain and despair and having later been in Iraq I can say whole heartily that Iraq was not our enemy. Our government wanted to show the American people they we weren't going to just sit here and take an attack of that magnitude and not retaliate.

Maybe if they had taken the Intel that warned them about the 9/11 attacks seriously we wouldn't be having this conversation right now. That's probably Obama's fault too.

You mean, they should have pinpointed that one single warning even though they were getting thousands of warnings each day for a multitude of targets? And if Iraq was not an enemy, why are they shooting back? Not like we are going in there and playing cowboys and indians.
I will never understand why people just cant grasp the fact that it is a good thing to rid the world of terrorists. Stupid mud hut ak47 wielding hide in a church coward terrorists that have no problem strapping a bomb to a kid. These people should be eliminated as quickly and viciously as possible.

And actually, we might not have had a 9-11 if Clinton would have fixed it the first time the trade center got attacked.

I've seen the pics he took as well, were several hundred if I recall correctly.

On those WMDs, it was common knowledge they were being shipped to Syria as fast as they could be. Then recently we see headlines that Syria flat out says that they have WMDs and will use them.

                  Coincidence? Don't think so.

The Syrian Foreign Ministry said Monday that the country has chemical or biological weapons, but would use them only against foreign attackers.

9/11 ring a bell .... how about the trade center bombings in 93? Oh wait ... those must not be real.

LMFAO are you on crack? I cant find the video I am thinking about right now but there are many cases where we were in drawn out firefights at the open of the war.

Maybe if more of our guys died, you might feel a bit different ... sorry that we are too good.

The enemy doesn't have to be in a uniform man. Look at Nam and get back to me. Many of the enemy in that war were civilians.

Fine let me explain it further. The reason why we were in Iraq was because of a and or potential threat posed by Iraq and there ongoing stock and manufacturing of weapons of mass destruction.

This of course turned out to be false. Iraq did not have an active WMD program and hadn't had one since desert storm. What was found and well documented was the ruins odd what once was that hadn't been touched since desert storm. Some of the chemicals still had active properties but Iraq, Saddam Hussein, did not have an active WMD program nor did they pose a threat.

                            Yes.

If I walk in your home unwelcome carrying a gun what would you do?

It is a good thing to get rid of terrorists so long as we are getting rid of terrorists and creating them by occupying a nation we had no business being in. Demolishing everything in our way, destroying homes, killing innocent men, women and children so that we back home in America can sleep soundly at night knowing we're safe.

I didn't blame Bush for 9/11. The Intel ball was dropped long before it reached him. America has a tendency to forget that bad shit is happening all around us. We become comfortable with the thought that we are untouchable.

There were weapons of mass destruction in Iraq after all.

The massive cache of almost 400,000 Iraq war documents released by the WikiLeaks Web site revealed that small amounts of chemical weapons were found in Iraq and continued to surface for years after the 2003 US invasion, Wired magazine reported.

The documents showed that US troops continued to find chemical weapons and labs for years after the invasion, including remnants of Saddam Hussein's chemical weapons arsenal -- most of which had been destroyed following the Gulf War.

In August 2004, American troops were able to buy containers from locals of what they thought was liquid sulfur mustard, a blister agent, the documents revealed. The chemicals were triple-sealed and taken to a secure site.

Also in 2004, troops discovered a chemical lab in a house in Fallujah during a battle with insurgents. A chemical cache was also found in the city.
