After listening to more of the speech I was left thinking "what a condescending asshole."

Nothing says genuine like a politician from the north east saying "y'all" while attempting to speak with a southern accent and referencing something from 150 years ago.

You nailed it. Hillary pulled that shit back in the '08 campaign, while pandering to the NAACP. Pisses me off. Funny...nobody ever wants to speak like a yankee.

Looks like O may be in negotiations with Hillary...

          Is Today the Day?
Obama meets with Biden and Clinton in the Oval Office.

Perhaps further fueling speculation that Barack Obama may replace Joe Biden on the Democratic presidential ticket with, say, Hillary Clinton, take a look at part of the president's schedule for today:

10:15AM THE PRESIDENT and THE VICE PRESIDENT receive the Presidential Daily Briefing

          Oval Office

          Closed Press

10:45AM THE PRESIDENT and THE VICE PRESIDENT meet with Secretary of State Clinton

          Oval Office

          Closed Press

12:30PM THE PRESIDENT and THE VICE PRESIDENT meet for lunch

          Private Dining Room

          Closed Press

No way. Three months before the election? The desperation that would imply would be killer. I just don't see it happening.

I'm hioping that's true. I'm hoping O is too arrogant to admit he'll need Hillary's help to win. That'll make who to vote for in the election for most people that much more clear.

I fear if Hillary gets the vp spot, that her and her husband's popularity will be enought o keep O in a job.

But would she even take it if offered? She'd probably have to give up any hopes of a future presidential run in the future... I just don't see any Obama VP being taken seriously as a presidential candidate after serving under that clown for four years.

I hope she sees it that way too. She's a shoe-in for the Dem ticket in 2016, and we'll see if that's enough to make sure she says no, if only to protect that.

I wouldn't put it past Obama, he will do anything to win, anything. That's one hell of a risk to take a VP spot with Obama, he's already going down in flames - do you want to be on that ship?

I seriously doubt that will happen. I don't think Hillary wants to be anywhere near this sinking ship. I'm honestly a little shocked she hasn't resigned her position yet. I'd take Hillry over either of those clowns any day of the week, and twice on Sunday, however.

As I said before I can see him getting rid of Ole Joe, but replacing him with Hillary might not be a wise move on his part. Ask yourself does she really want to be VP? No! She wants to be the President. Then ask yourself how many people have the Clinton's killed or "have disappeared" in the past? Plenty whats one more!

While anything is possible, she said this was her last year in politics this past January, and many people believe it.

I wouldn't put it past 0bama to begging or blackmailing her to stay though.

WOO HOO!!!! White House says Obama will stick with Biden as running mate

President Obama has no intention of getting rid of Vice President Biden as his running mate, the White House said Thursday.

Republicans are being “ridiculous” and are trying to “distract attention” with their focus on Vice President Biden and his controversial comments earlier this week, White House press secretary Jay Carney said.

“They know that what they're saying about this is ridiculous," Carney said at a briefing with reporters, adding that it's an “obvious” attempt to take attention away from policy issues.

Mitt Romney’s presidential campaign lashed out at Biden and President Obama this week after the vice president in an address in Virginia said the Republican’s approach to the financial industry would “put y’all back in chains.” Biden made the remarks in front of a racially mixed audience.

Obama’s campaign has repeatedly said Biden was simply talking about financial regulation.

“The vice president was talking about Wall Street reform,” Carney said Thursday. “The vice president's intention was clear.”

Asked if Obama regrets the choice of words Biden used, Carney, who served as communications director to Biden before taking the podium job, called it “trivial,” and said “nobody took it as a reference to anything” except those who are trying to "make something out of nothing.”

Carney said it was an attempt to distract from the message because “the other side is losing these policy debates pretty overwhelmingly.”

The White House spokesman said Obama “absolutely understands and knows what the vice president was talking about.”

Asked if Obama was frustrated by the distraction over the last few days, Carney replied, “Not that I saw.”

Obama met this morning with Biden and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.

Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) earlier this week said Obama would be better off replacing Biden with Clinton as his running mate. McCain said he did not expect that to happen, however. He said he thought Clinton hoped to run for president in 2016.

Asked about McCain's remarks Wednesday, Carney said: "One place I would not go for advice on presidential running mates is John McCain."
