Yup. I mentioned that right after Ryan was picked as veep. The question is, will Hillary accept it? She knows what kind of crap is in store for us in the near future budgetwise if we keep spending like we are. Does she want to tie her legacy to that?

I'm hoping no, because her popularity alone would swing a lot of less informed voters her obama's way. I'm hoping she is angling for 2016, thinking that there will be a mess in these next four years, whoever is in office, because a lot of stuff will either be unwound by Romney, or expanded by Obama.

I believe the formal announcement at the convention is the "point of no return" for the candidates. There are exceptions (death for example), but it's pretty iron clad at that point.

Are the VP debates mandatory? Or is there a way for Biden to weasel out? This is going to be a bloodbath.

I'm sorry, Mr. Romney is not feeling well for tonight's debate with the messiah, Mr. Ryan is here to represent Mr. Romney.

I'm not sure about "mandatory", but they didn't start until 1960. I guess if the dems want Ryan up there by himself for an hour-and-a-half, they could let Biden bail. Talk about catastrophic! Can you imagine letting him talk that long by himself, unchallenged? It would be an even worse massacre.

My dog could make Biden look foolish in a debate.

Biden is that guy at the party. Drink in hand, shit faced and slurring whatever comes to mind. I mean that's the only way to explain it. I cannot imagine anyone writing some of the shit that spews out of his mouth?

                        And today...

Hey, Joe... it's been the 21st century for 12 years now.

                        This was said yesterday:

“Well, I think if it came from somebody serious maybe we’d get all excited about it. But the — I think the vice president of the United States has become a laugh line on late night television. I mean, he — I’ve never seen a vice president that has made as many mistakes, said as many stupid things... I mean, there’s a real fear if, God forbid, he ever had to be entrusted with the presidency, whether he really has the mental capacity to handle it. I mean, this guy just isn’t bright. He’s never been bright. He isn’t bright. And people think, ‘Well, he just talks a little too much.’ Actually he’s not very smart,”

                        - Rudy Guiliani
