  • National weather service stockpiling ammo

Why does the NWS need ammo, let alone 24,000+ rounds?

Guy brings up a good point, the army, DHS, and now NWS are stockpiling hollow points but it is illegal to use hollow points against anyone else in the world. Does the government believe there will be a full scale war against civilians? Seems a bit crazy to me.

    24,000 rounds isn't a lot.

I'm sure there are many members on this board that have well over 10k.

I know that, but why does the NWS need guns in the first place? Reading more into it there will be more like 55,000+ rounds sold in total. I guess they may have some security that uses them?

They use the ammo for the weather balloons. When they get to high they shoot them down.
