So what's the problem? He called her out for not campaigning on issues and instead using her disability as the focal point. I don't see the big deal there. Yes, she served. Yes, she was injured. No, that doesn't mean she should get a vote without looking at the issues. Should she be honored for her sacrifice and service? Absolutely -- just like every other vet. That has nothing to do with being an elected official though.
Now if 2 candidates are the same on all issues and 1 served while the other didn't, I'll vote for the vet every time because I know they'll put our country first. This however, isn't a case of the same points on issues.

Are you kidding? I'd give the guy a high five. Not because I necessarily 100% agree with him, but for standing by his word instead of invoking the tired old "apology is policy." This country needs some people in charge who aren't afraid to hurt tender feelings and tell it like it is.

I won't speak for FF, but prior service, disabled vets are selling points from a political point of view. However, they can be abused.
Let's face it too, just because a person served, does not automatically make them a politician or capable of running a city, state, and so forth.
I don't know much about her honestly though. If he is overdoing it and otherwise not telling the truth - that's where I'd get pissed off. I just don't know for sure.Originally posted by MR EDDU defend him who use's racial slurs like hes drinking water.

Granted the end may seem to justify the means, as Pakistan subsequently agreed to reopen some critically needed supply routes into Afghanistan, but the whole apologetics idea on behalf of our country is sickening.

I agree. Don't back down because she's disabled. Because you were injured in war does not mean you need to lead a deep fryer much less anything more.
So why am I torqued again?
Edit: I really like and agree with some of his comments. No more white guilt, no more pulling punches when dealing with people with disabilities. We're people too. And if you put yourself out there politically, don't expect to be handled with kid gloves. If she wants to wax on about her time in the service, go to the VFW or DFWMustangs.I wear a Fez. Fez-es are cool

Love the fact that he pointed that out! Very cool. she is trying to milk the shit out of it but got called out. Nice to see a politician not being politically correct.May God give us strength and courage in the time of our darkest hours.

I'm noticing that in the article, they didn't mention Obama deferring to McCain during the 08 election because of his service or take things easy on him due to his sacrificeI wear a Fez. Fez-es are cool
