I think it's laughable that they were ever banned from the military in the first place. If you have people signing up to fight and potentially die for their country, why would you tell them that they couldn't do it?

Really? It's laughable they were ever banned in the first place? It's the same country that had segregation until almost a 100 years after the civil war. Even I will argue that the gay movement is the least important minority group in America. So it stands to reason they'd get the least amount of legislation their way, which is why it's taken more than more than 100 years since women could enlist in mass and more than 60 years since the military was desegregated for fudge packers to start moving into the military political limelight.

They were asking that legislation is REVERSED. How do you not see that? Legislation was passed that gay sex was illegal; they ask that it is reversed. Legislation was passed that made gay marriage illegal; they ask that it is reversed. Legislation was passed that (officially) gay people couldn't be in the military, and if they were found out they would be discharged; they asked that it be reversed.

I may think its disgusting and if asked I'd have to say that I disapprove, but I could just as easily forget the whole thing and never think about it again for the rest of my life. Except for the fact that, yeah, they keep on shoving themselves and their gayness in everyone's face. Demanding legislation and public recognition. Demanding that we conform to them, so that they can feel all good inside. Thats all this is about. Well if they are going to be that way about it, then don't be surprised when you get what you get for it.

I somehow glossed over incest when I read that statement, but at any rate, we can take different scenarios that AREN'T this one and make half assed comparisons all day long. The fact of the matter is that if two people of the same sex want to have sex, who really gives a shit? Is your life really so perfect you need to worry about what others are doing to each others orifaces in the privacy of their own homes?
