I remember being handed my SAW and told to burn through a PALLET of ammo because it was the end of the budget year and they needed to burn it to get more.

All school districs have pallets of computers and laptops from years ago still unused wrapped in plastic and they pay storage to keep them hidden. They buy a lot of stuff at the end of the budget period so they can get more for the next year

Like I said I only see about 90 degrees of separation. This ginormous government needs overhaul on all levels. Just you hit my petpeeve about the military's arbitrary power to chicken wing someone who is serving with honor and good faith only to be tossed aside in the interest of money.

I understand. I too hate it when the military would decide to just cancel it's end of the deal on something. My main complaint is the people that go into the military because of all the extra "benefits". Your benefit for serving is freedom, or at least that is the way I looked at it.

^^^^ yes and you did 6 years I did 5 the issue here is that these men gave up their freedom for 20 years and their family's freedom they went where when and how the military dictated moving and uprooted more times then they can probably count. Why shouldn't there be a bad ass carrot at the end of that raw stick. I'm all for keeping that end up and putting that fat welfar sucker on the street with her 12 kids that she had to get more money. On a side note putting in less then 20 I don't see them being owed anything unless they were injured the government spent a lot of money training us so 4-10 years is just the right thing to do based on how much money they invested in training. I can promise you all the massive experiance that would vacate the military if all the sudden you lose the carrot would leave our country in a bad place in my personal opinion.
