I believe, cannot say for sure, but to carry over $10k cash requires some type of declaration paperwork. In Texas he would get his money back at a property hearing as long as he can prove he obtained it by legal means.

I can't tell you the number of times I've found a few grand on someone and they tell me they just cashed their income tax check.

only in/out of the country. there is no law in texas that prevents you from carrying any amount of cash around on your person.

I called the TSA and told them how much I was going to be carrying and they told me I better have proof of where I got that kind of money. Fuck this motherfucking place!!!

I also asked them what I would need to do with my firearms and told them what I was carrying as check-in luggage. They started asking me why I needed that many guns to go with me. Never even got an answer from that. The airline told me they were cool with it and how to bring it, but to also notify the TSA... fuck me.

I can't wait to see their faces when they see the other stuff. LOL!

Maybe I should take Alex Jones along to video this.

Not true anymore. Any travel over $9999 is what I was told.

You might be right. i can't find much up to date info, but this is from TSA's FAQ...

              Q. Will I be delayed during screening if I am carrying large amounts of cash?
              A. TSA does not restrict passengers from carrying cash through our security checkpoints. However, when TSA discovers a passenger carrying a sum of cash that appears to be in excess of $10,000 and the passenger is traveling to a location outside of the United States, TSA may notify U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) to ensure compliance with international currency-reporting requirements. Also, TSA may notify law enforcement officers if cash is discovered during the security screening process that appears to be related to criminal activity based on factors such as the quantity, packaging, circumstances of discovery, or the method by which it is carried.
We’re sorry, but there is no www.tsa.gov page that matches your entry.?Possible reasons: The page may have been moved. It no longer exists. The address may have been typed incorrectly. Please try the following options: Visit the TSA homepage. Browse the A-Z index. Contact TSA.

Again, i can't find ANYTHING regarding inter or intra state travel that bars you from carrying any amount of currency.

Right. That's what I originally went on, but it came up when I called about my firearms, as the airline told me to do. I'm going to prepare to expect what the dumbass that is actually at the security checkpoint has to say since more than likely, that is how they'll react to me once I show up with what I'll be carrying.

They have a history of knee-jerk reactions that aren't always to standard operating procedures. There is also the possibility of them not updating the website on a new policy.

I'm not sure, but I'm just preparing for anything.

Can I bring popcorn? You might want to spot me your bail money just in case.

Have it your way. JBT's don't let you talk when their boot is on your neck.

Denny, you need to team up with a disabled vet. You get assigned a TSA supervisor when you get to the airport, they check your luggage for you, walk you to the front of the line in security, help get you through and then walk you to your plane. I'm very against TSA but it is nice to have VIP treatment.

That said, I'm willing to deal with DFW for a bit of scratch
