I chewed her ass out yesterday when I walked into the bank and she told me she wouldn't accept anything that you sent and continued with more of her BS. The whole bank heard it, and I saw more than one of the women who I've done business with for the last 20 years silently high five-ing each other. It got really good when she tried to be a smart ass and ask if I really needed to rehash it and I told her no, we are done. As soon as the money is released the bank across the street gets all four accounts, and the home mortgage and two other notes your bank carries. We're DONE. She got kind of quite right about then.
Still pisses me off.
Mike, you always seem to be in the middle of some bullshit.

It's not just the cops doing this shit guys. A week and a half ago I deposited a $5000 check from my lawyer and a $4300 check from AlP. That put me over the limit of 5M and those cock munchers siezed my money for a week and a half. Finally unfroze it today.
Tomorrow I close the account. Cocksuckers. I've done business there for literally 20 years and they pulled this shit?
Fuck the banks, and fuck the out of control police and government.
I thought this was SOP for banks. The EFA Act in 1987 placed limits on how long they may hold checks.
Edit: I've been burned a time or two because of this, too. Worst case was BofA wanting to hold a $1500 check from UTArlington that I was trying to deposit with about $600 cash back that I was to use for books. I ended up taking it to UTArlington's bank, Chase, and cashing it in its entirety there.

I deposited 6K in cash once with Bank of America and the fucktard at the drive through told me the most they would accept was 5K of cash at once. I asked the dumbass if she thought JP Morgan Chase would accept it and she shut up after that.
