This guy is a complete chode. If he knew anything about the history of the saying he wouldn't be worried about it. It's steeped in ignorance, not the bad kind of ignorance that most of us associate with the word, but the actual definition of ignorance. As a militant atheist (when brought up,) I see no problem with saying "bless you" when someone sneezes.
