And I'm not biased. I'm not a believer, but I'm not an atheist either. I don't give two flying fucks what anyone believes, just keep quiet and leave me alone about it. I do go cook for, and feed the homeless with some friends one day a month, and it's in a church, and part of the deal is they have to sit and listen to the "message" delivered by a friend of mine. That's his passion, and I can tolerate it once a month. I usually just try to keep busy while that is going on.

I don't know many people that even say "God bless you" anymore. It is more of just "bless you". When I say it, it is more about respect than a religious thing. I am the last person that needs to be handing out blessings to anyone if that were the fact.

That's been the biggest point of contention for me in the religion threads. I'm a believer and am at awe of all the arguments over it. I simply can't understand why people argue so much about it. Atheists are one thing and they can push their beliefs too hard as well. People who argue minor differences are another...etc.

Anyway, I know plenty of Atheists that say bless you. I was raised that if you did not say it, it was generally bad manners. All it takes is for someone to indicate they don't want me saying it to them, and I'll respect their wishes. If I know them well enough, I'll say something else that is dumb. Otherwise, I'll just let it be.

I agree completely. A public discussion of either religion or politics is always asking for trouble. It's even worse online where people freely talk to people in a manner they typically wouldn't in person. I'm not interested in others religious beliefs or politics and just rather accept people for who they are, good or bad.
