Militias

With the way things are with the government today, with our amendments being stripped away left and right, and with the constitution being a walked all over, what is your opinion of the militia?

The annotation of the 2nd amendment days:
A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.

Militia groups are popping up all over the United States these days. We have multiple militia groups in Texas alone.

Do you feel these are redneck groups just needing something to do?

Do you feel well organized militia could keep things the state in check?

Depends, if by militia group - you mean a group of trusted friends/family during a SHTF scenario...sure. People to help with gardens and other stuff to survive...sure.

For combat/battles, na. At least not at first, I think if there were an invasion from internal or external - initially it would be chaos. Then turn into something resembling the French resistance to the Nazis.

Problem I'm having, is you better TRUST whoever you team up with.
