"reckless" How so? After watching the clip above, I don't see how he can be believed. Even after saying that, I would still rather take my chances with him than have another month with Obumma.

I don't think our country will ever turn around unless people start trying to find things in common instead of reasons to tear down people they don't agree with. I'm guilty of it myself. People have become more and more self-centered with every generation. The "what's in it for me" attitude. Our political system is so stifled by it that the politicians can't even get anything accomplished anymore.

You've broken the ice, so here we go: an acquaintance from a block down is walking by the house with his wife. I'm out piddling in the yard, and we have this conversation- Him-"Well, I'm a Ron Paul guy because he's the only one that really knows about the economy." Then,"Ron Paul is the only guy that really knows foreign policy", and then,"Ron Paul is the only candidate that really cares about freedom and the constitution." So I say, "Really? A man that has spent decades in office, despite calling for term limits? A guy that when he wasn't in office, owned a gold and silver numismatic company? Gee...I wonder why he wants to go back to the gold standard?"
My point is, not a one of these guys is perfect. They are ALL politicians.

There's a line drawn in the sand though. Romney isn't my first choice, but he is THE choice. Look, if Ron Paul stood a chance of securing the nomination, i'd vote for him over romney. That's not the case tho, nor never will be.

Everyone in TX will have a chance to vote for either Romney or Paul or whoever with no negative impact on the general election in November.

And the Paulbot title is funny. The republican party would literally kill people in order to have just a small fraction of that kind of support for Romney. They are begging anyone, especially younger people, to just show up to the convention if they are picked to be in a delegation. No wonder the Paul people have taken over so many state conventions. You can't hardly find a Romney person who will do little more than pull the lever and that's about it. That is seriously bad news for the party.

Maybe here in Texas, but not nationally. I'll vote for RP because I want Texas to have some say-so when it comes down to the nut-cutting in November. The democrats here in Texas ruined our chances of having a real impact picking a candidate with their silly-assed lawsuit about having a valid ID to vote. Here's my one caveat to voting for RP: if I feel that he will NOT back the party choice, I will not vote for him. He's a "republican", and as a party member, you back who the party goes with in the general election.
