I'm pretty sure I've been clear on this before. YOu run it up the chain of command and if you're still getting a command you believe is unlawful, you refuse and accept the fact you'll be arrested, striped of rank, and possibly discharged ruining your life with a dishonorable discharge.

However, there is a HUGE difference between disobeying an unlawful order and refusing to answer a draft that is a lawful order, that is enumerated in both the Constitution AND has been upheld by the Supreme Court.


Edited to add: Again, I'm not in favor of a draft, it's a horrible idea, however it is a legal one. I don't want to serve with draftees but if you're called you serve. It's not like you get called and they're standing there with batons to put you in the truck, they're not DPD. (sorry, had to). You take your card and you raise hell with your senator. If you don't win there, you push it upwards and if you still don't like your answer you either remove those who made the decision by vote, force or leave the country and stay gone.

Edit to add to this. The only way I support a draft is if we were being invaded. However, I don't believe a draft would be needed then either, as I would hope everyone would volunteer at that point.
