Pakistani Doctor Arrested After Throwing Away 'Muhammad' Business Card
A Pakistani doctor has reportedly been arrested on suspicion of violating the country's blasphemy laws after he threw away the business card of a man who shared the name of the Prophet Muhammad.

Naushad Valiyani, a Muslim doctor in Hyderabad, in Sindh province, was arrested after a complaint to police alleging he had insulted Muhammad.

Muhammad Faizan, a pharmaceutical representative, gave Valiyani his business and late filed a complaint when the doctor threw it away, noting that his name is the same as the Prophet's

I wonder why it isn't considered blasphemy among Muslims to name someone after their beloved Prophet Muhammad in the first place?

Sharia law is coming to this country. Maybe in small bits at first, but it's coming. Our own stupid-ass judges aren't shutting it down.

I keep hearing this but I have yet to see an example.

So today's challenge, what part of Sharia law has taken effect in the US that does not conform with local, state, or federal statutes.

Not calling anyone a liar, I just want to see it.

the Constitution says , "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion". I guess the law makers must clarify this. Any ideas on what it should read like to make it impossible for judges to include a second set of laws for Sharia law?
I realize our current laws are mostly bible based. At least I think they are.

Our Constitution and laws are based on the Magna Carta.

Since it is the law of the land here, what wording would have to be added to the constitution to prevent any other religious laws to circumvent the current laws.

How about this, just off the top. " No legal considerations based on religions that conflict with current laws may be considered in judicial rulings". I don't know legalise but this is what I have in mind.

In the Detroit area (and other Muslim-heavy towns), there's a big push to institute some of their laws at the state level. Over 80% of Muslims worldwide, believe that Sharia laws are best. Oklahoma courts have ruled against any Sharia laws in the future, so I'm guessing it's a state-by-state thing.
In Detroit, the same schools that don't allow Christians to pray, are allowing several prayer-times a day for the Muslim kids, and sports scheduling has been altered to accomodate their religious holidays and fasts'.
As liberal as some of our judges are, I don't discount anything anymore.

I always thought that this Sharia Law bullshit was paranoia until we have states like Oklahoma voting to keep it out. What... the... fuck?!

They had to proclaim their sovereignty by authority. On paper, authority could only be granted by god, and then only through the church.

I realize I'm starting to sound like TinFoil Hats' brother (God help me!), but what was once a paranoia has a chance of becoming reality.

where exactly did you receive your government degree from?

the magna carta was simply a power deal between the king and wealthy land owners... basically the barons had to acknowledge that the king was supreme and picked by God to be their ruler, in exchange the barons had rights to their own property that the king could not take away, and were subject to the king's laws, but not the king's will.

if anything the creators of the US Constitution probably viewed the magna carta as how not to establish government, I think we borrowed a lot more from ancient Rome.
