Complete and total warfare, which we have not sustained that sort of war since then. Even in that case though, what this E-6 did (supposedly) was wrong even by WWII ROE.

Although if I'm being honest about it. I'm not going to lose any sleep over it. The E-6 was probably wrong (assuming the media article is not full of shit. It is very possible there are a bunch of incorrect statements), however it's never covered how these (Iraq and Afghanistan) people can't really help themselves, their religion/politics are retarded and a lot of them have no real interest in changing.

I believe the ones that really do want to change, end up in America (or some other country) as citizens. I do not think they are able to change in their existing country.

Exactly, collateral civilian casualties are going to be part of any war, or at least they will if our military forces are permitted to fight in the manner in which they were trained. This nation-building crap being assigned to our troops is BS. Nation-building, or re-building, should be solely the responsibilty of the country we're fighting.

Targeting US or European cities is one thing because the population density is very high. Bombing a tribal area in Afghanistan is something else entirely.

Out biggest remaining nuke only has a yield of 475KT. In the past we had ones that were 80 times more powerful. 475KT may seem huge but in the mountains the blast radius is confined by the terrain and we run into the odd problem of the munitions costing more then the target that it is destroying. Our largest remaining nuke could not even wipe out Plano and it was built in a cow pasture.

Ya'll do know that only a VERY few launch vehicles are allowed to have MIRVs. Getting rid of MIRVs is one way that we have neutered ourselves.

If we started dropping H-bombs like we use conventional stuff we could wipe them out quickly but the era of one bomb completely sanitizing an area 60k across is over and gone unless I become the POTUS.

The silo missiles are minutemen IIIs and are armed with W87s and W78s. There is a total of 450 ICBMs with 550 warheads. Some of the W87s have a 475kt yield but most have a 300kt yield; there are exactly 200 W87s. The W78s have a yield of 335kt-350kt and there are exactly 350 of them.

Out bomber force consist of 113 planes that are configured for nukes. Our entire strategic force consist of 851 delivery vehicles above and beyond the bombers. We are barely a shadow of our former strength and Obama has ordered the arsenal to be cut down to only 300 nukes.

For the most part the idea of complete US nuclear supremacy is simply a myth.
