His gun probably went off while he was cleaning it.

What that guy did was horseshit, and I hope they bury him underneath Leavenworth, but this just screams hypocrisy to me:

nine of the dead were children, and three were women.
As if the culture over there values children and women. Hell they'd have probably killed them if this soldier hadn't gotten to them first. Obviously I overstate certain viewpoints, but the premise still stands.

or he got tired of the people he's fighting to protect trying to kill him because a few books being used by enemy prisoners to pass messages to each other got burned, and he just snapped. I could see it happening.

Forthcoming speculation ad nauseum over why he did this is to be expected, but in the end his actions amount to nothing less than murder. He should have to face a firing squad if found guilty.

Did we enact a policy of killing Afghan children before they become taliban fighters or is this guy just ahead of the curve?
Magnus, I am your father. You need to ask your mother about a man named Calvin Klein.

Killed a lot more than christians...Jews, Muslims, and a lot of atheists, too. Very poor example, if you were trying to make a point. Besides, I'm thinking Jeremy said that tongue-in-cheek.

This got a lot more attention from "Barry the messiah" than the Fort Hood massacre did. Hmmmm.

Honestly? I can see how it happened. The Afghans have been killing us since we got there and recently have been killing our guys in 'safe zones.' I can see the thought process of thinning them out to try to rebalance the system.

"Think you're safe? Well just like you can get to us, we can get to you."

I in no way said he was right, and I absolutely do not believe in targeting women and children. However I can see the need of someone who's been in a firefight and seen his brothers die and seen Obama sucking Karzi's cock to strike out. Is it right? Absolutely not. Can I see the point of view? Absolutely.

                            War is hell.

Your carpet bombing strategies seem to fly in the face of this statement.
