This Iran crap is played out. Time for oil to come down a bit and the next story to come online.

What if they do come up with something freakish that we didn't think of and pop one off over here?

That would suck if they did it in Dallas.
It would suck, but I'm sure they do know we would turn all of Iran into a sheet of glass, we would salt their earth, they would be nothing more than a bunch of pissed of rock rats living in caves AKA Afghanistan.

It will happen some day, but if/when it happens to us, very bad shit will happen to who ever does it, and the world will change for ever. Again.

Except they don't. The only reason anyone is saying that is due to random TV newscasts, each has actually condemned Iran, and even Russia has mentioned they will drastically cut oil imports from them.

I can imagine a few more targets they would like to hit, other than a city in North Texas.

I don't see why it wouldn't be a big strategic move to take out a town like Dallas, St Louis, New Orleans, San Francisco etc. These aren't really high on the list of places you would expect to see an attack, which makes them easier targets but will have the same shock and affect if of a DC or NYC attack. If they were able to take out any of those cities, it would strike fear into normal US citizens, and that is a fact. NYC or Dallas, it wouldn't matter, people would feel the same fear. That is what these people are all about. Instilling fear in their enemies.

Think of the notoriety a group would get if they claimed they took out a few hundred thousand or million people in ANY US city.

Not worried about any real threat from them, but the instability in that region is getting worse. So what's new? As said, it's saber rattling.

No, we wouldn't. We wouldn't strike back with nukes. Washington would issue some stern words and posture but no one in Washington and especially that coward in office, is willing to hit the big red button that unleashes nuclear hell in Iran.

If we got nuked and didn't retaliate, the pres would be impeached, and I wouldn't be shocked at an assn. attempt.

You'd not see a nuclear strike in retaliation because you'd have to prove where the attack came from, take into account collateral damage on the IRanian civilians, the possible damage to the oil fields and so forth.
