No problem with christianity, just some of those (not all) who practice it.

I'll chime in on this one.

By the sheer lack of evidence that he does in fact exist it's proof that he doesn't. The burden of proof isn't on the people that go with the default stance (nonexistence) but it does lie with those who have the positive stance (existence) If something can't be proven to exist, then it doesn't. Yes, even science has things that they think exist, but until it's proven, those things are treated as if they don't.

Can you prove that you exist, outside of your own self-awareness?

If there is a benevolent God, then why the hell did he make such an effort to conceal himself? And before you fundies say he is all around us, I mean why doesnt he reveal himself like he did in the Bible? He is imaginary, thats why.

I just quoted you, quoting him. You're acknowledgement of his presence is proof.

Dave, have you read the Bible? It's pretty powerfully indoctrinating. It's impressive how effective a tool it is. Even reading it as an Atheist, it draws you in.

Yup. Didnt have the same effect on me. Read more like a fairy tale.

Nah, it was a stroke of semi-genius on my part....just look at the airplay it received.

Good response poopnut, that read like something I might post. If you could've addded about 20 more convoluted paragraphs to it, it might have read like something BrianC would post.

Wow, now we're diving into solipsism, Solipsists are almost worse than theists.

For some reason, beyond our understanding, He has chosen for us to either accept Him from what He has done during the times He DID make Himself evident. We can believe what He has done and what He has promised or choose not to.

Blessed is he who sees and believes, but even more blessed are those who believe without seeing. Our faith, based on believing in Him without having to physically lay eyes on Him or touch Him is yet another way we can display our love for Him. He was already here. How many more times does He have to come down for people to believe?
