Women do not abort often enough. There are millions of children birthed by men and women who can not afford them and do not have the desire to raise them to be productive members of society. The idea that every possible baby that can be born should be born is stupid. Women who abort have my respect. How does protecting the life of children violate the citizenship clause? How does providing information to someone about a procedure they're about to undergo effect you TC? And 9th? The enumeration in the Constitution of certain rights shall not be construed to deny or disparage others retained by the people.

You're telling me that a woman who walks into an abortion clinic has no idea that she's going to have a procedure that will terminate the pregnancy? No one is trying to deny a woman information that she wants. They're trying to prevent the Christian right from forcing their ideals down a woman's throat.

BTW, the citizenship clause isn't the only portion of the 14th amendment. The 9th amendment is used to support and interpret the 14th amendment. The 9th Amendment is simply a statement that other rights aside from those listed may exist, and just because they are not listed doesn't mean they can be violated.The 14th Amendment ensured that all citizens of all states enjoyed not only rights on the federal level, but on the state level, too.

It should be between a woman and her doctor to make the decision of whether to abort or not. Planned Parenthood of Southeastern Pennsylvania vs. Casey held that States are not allowed to put an undue burden on a woman seeking an abortion.

I find it quite ironic that you have issues with everyday citizens having to prove that they're not terrorists to get on an airplane, but you want to place stipulations on a woman seeking an abortion. She has to "prove" to a doctor that she has been raped or has a medical reason to be there. What happens to the woman who was raped or was molested, but didn't file a police report, our of fear or shame? Not only is it punishing the people who abuse the procedure, but it also punishes the innocent women who are already making a VERY difficult decision.

I never said put stipulations. I said show the woman what is going to happen. Those who get the procedure can also go sterile because of it or have complications later on. So what you're saying is seeing a sonogram of something you're about to kill is undue hardship? I also never said prove anything. Show me where I did. I honestly don't see a good reason to kill a child. Call it penance for very bad things I've done.

Why are you so hung up on her 'having' to see the sonogram? Again, she realizes that she is there to end a life. Is seeing the sonogram supposed to induce an emotional breakdown and sudden overwhelming feelings of love for the embryo she's already made the decision to kill?
