  • Ron Paul answers Chris Wallace's tough questions

I watched this video titled "Chris Wallace Blows Ron Paul Out Of The Water Over His Ignorance About The Constitution". On the contrary, I think Ron Paul did an excellent job of explaining and answering the questions. He is the only candidate that can do that without a teleprompter.

Tough interview. I thought he handled himself well.

First time I listened to him and the first time I've EVER seen a politician actually answer questions.

He is the real deal! If anyone watches this and thinks less of Paul, they are just plain dumb.

Where exactly did he get blown out of the water? I saw a pretty decent debate with Paul being very knowledgeable of each issue presented. I'm kinda surprised Chris Wallace would take such a view on the welfare clause.

I also thought Paul's views on FEMA and Federal responsibility during natural disaster was pretty interesting. I'm not sure I agree with him on it, but he does have a point about federal flood insurance.

I'm not 100% I sure I agree with everything he said either. However, he at least answered the questions and has a plan in his head. I like it more so that most of what he wants to change does not necessarily affect the average person who does the responsible thing and thinks ahead. If anything, it would help with tax savings...etc.

Again, first time really listening to him - guess I better get serious about it though.

                  ...

I think he is a brilliant man. And no, I'm not a Ron Paul nuthugger. He seems to have a clear understanding of not just the topics that are discussed, but also the principles behind the answers.

At the end of the video, Chris Wallace tries to throw out the fact that the courts ruled it constitutional and then Ron brings up slavery and how that had to be reversed. I thought that was the moment Ron owned Chris. I was also thinking about the fact that the courts have ruled that the mandate in Obamacare is legal. Hopefully, the courts will change their stance on that too,

Why do so many people say "they're not sure" about things he says? I'm sure if I agree or not.

Because some issues are much more complicated than is presented by the media or the politicians. When you don't know enough detail to make a decision, you're not sure.

For instance, what happens if we kill federally backed flood insurance (the feds are actually just a re-insurer for it). Commercial providers have historically avoided flood insurance up until the feds stepped in.

So lets say we have that kind of flooding again. Do we abandon entire towns and cities? Do we have flood refugees moving throughout the country?

There are a ton more issues to consider on that one position.... So I'm not sure.

That doesn't mean I (or others) don't support RP. On the contrary, there are enough good things I like that I'm planning to vote for him.

I don't know about entire towns like New Orleans, but I don't see why the taxpayers should insure all of the beach houses that are built, washed away and then rebuilt over and over again. If someone wants to build on beach, go for it. But, everyone else shouldn't be forced into insuring their stupidity.

You see, that's another point. As with a great many things, it isn't a cut and dry issue.

Just because I like what the man says, does not mean I agree 100% with everything he says. Just like I'm agreeable enough with my wife, but I don't like everything she does, says and so forth.
