After what Bush, Cheney and his conies did to our civel liberties the last time there is no way in hell I will EVER vote for another Republican. The Patriot act and the way it was RAMMED thru was such a huge blow to us as a country that I doubt we will ever recover. That plus all the obstructionism that the republicans have done since. Am I happy with how things have turned out under Obama not really but....IMO it's better than the alternative. If the Republicans would TRY to work with the Dems on at least some things they would stand a better chance. But their "it's a Obama idea so it HAS to be fought with everything we have" mentallity on absolutly every single thing is costing them with the people that matter. The people in the middle. I know most people in here are Republican nut huggers so I expect to be seriously flamed but I could careless. The OP asked a question and I gave my point of view. My wife has MS and under the existing system there is no way I can afford to pay for insurace for her. Most companys won't insure her and the ones that do charge $1000 or more a month for crappy $10,000 deductable insurance. My insurance would be areound $160.

You can get coverage under the federal PCIP plan for her, and the rates are not unreasonable. Note that Texas has both the federally run PCIP plan and the state run high risk plan. The state plan is a lot more expensive than the federal plan. The federal PCIP plan runs until 2014 which is when insurance companies are forbidden to reject people with pre-existing conditions.

I have to agree with you on the whole "Fuck the republicans standpoint". They're garbage, just like the democraps. There are only a handful of repubs that represent my point of view. At best. But don't be fooled into thinking the dems are any better cause they're a lot worse. The type of socialist, quasi-communism that they stand for has been proven disastrous so many times that its a wonder the democratic party still exists at all. Just look at the trouble that any state that adopts their philosophy, is in. Financially. Collapse very very VERY bad for the people.

The Governor was staunchly against our right to carry (CHL), she authored and instituted "Robin Hood" in Texas schools, and backed the reduction of manufacturing semi-automatic weapons and that's just a few. If that's a not a "liberal" to you, I'd like to have you point one out.

Politicians want us all to argue like this so we can keep on our different sides while they play all the blame games and keep passing bills that only hurt us normal people.

BOTH PARTIES are responsible for the mess we are in now. This did NOT start with the current administration, or the previous administration, but BOTH are guilty of causing some of the problems we are seeing now. Our current problems actually started decades ago, not recently.

I agree with you there. The poor are going to stay poor, unless they choose to wrench themselves from their poverty. However, which would you rather be? A poor guy with hope of getting a job? Or a poor guy with no hope of getting a job? Or maybe its that the libtards never really understood Reagan's trickle down economics. Of course they would want it to mean that money literally trickles down right into their pockets without them having to work for it. Reagan would assume that because the rich were not being robbed by the government, that they would of course expand (as rich people will always do) and thus create more jobs. With the end effect being that there are more jobs for the poor to work at. Which to me, sounds like "trickle down" works just fine.

While she may have stood for the control of firearms, you don't call someone a liberal who thinks that anyone who opposes the death penalty is stupid. So my point stands.
