I've always had this feeling that Iran is a little more... how to put it.. socially progressed than the other shitholes near it like Iraq. Little clues like the way the dress. The leaders and the women dress differently than they do in iraq. They dress a little more like us. Says something about them. Maybe they just have a smaller extremist content or something, but something's different about them. Different than Iraq, afgan, etc. I don't claim to know much about all those little shit countries like that though.

Yes they did side with Germany in WW2 but why? Could it be that maybe they were tired of the British and other countries trying to take over there land and resources? Look at what the British Empire looked like in the early 20th century. They were all over the world and still are to this day. It's about power. The only reason we ventured outside our borders in the early 20th century was to acquire and exercise it. Simple as that.

If they're so pissed about it, they should do something. Until they have the power to do something without fear of what the U,S, will do, they'll play the role of the passive-aggressive bitch and speak up only when they know we won't come fuck them up for it. I have a feeling their posturing will come to an abrupt end around Mid Nov assuming a Repub wins.

Push comes to shove, Russia and the Chi-Coms will back down. With half of Russia's Navy rusting at port, and China's only aircraft carrier being an abandoned Sovuet era hull, neither have the stones to do a damned thing if we decide to get serious.

Has Iran ever attacked the United States? They have signed the NPT and the IAEA can inspect there sites. Israel has attacked the US (1967 USS Liberty) has not signed the NPT and won't let the IAEA inspect there sites. But yet we sanction Iran and freeze there assets to the tune of billions of dollars. We tell them who can and can't trade with them and what weapons they can have and we wonder why there is distain towards us from the people and the Government. Where is the logic in all this?

The only person I know from Iran was so excited back in 2003 when we went into Iraq. He stated that he hoped as soon as we were done there, we could do the same removal in Iran. I don't talk with him much, but he had the same feeling for their government that the worst hawks in the U.S. have.

We have a girl from Iran that works for us, she spent many years there growing up. But she just confirms what I already know. The people there are very pro western, it is the government of religious idiots that is the problem. We should be doing our best to remove them from power without pissing off the average person. We already pissed off the populace over there in the 1970s when that idiot Jimmy Carter backed the wrong side in the revolution. We don't want to do that again and that is why you are seeing their nuclear program come under attack from things like computer viruses. I don't believe for a second that they aren't developing nuclear weapons. The people over there need to rise up and we need to encourage them.

What the video doesn't show is the religious police who are everywhere and will throw you in jail for things like public displays of affection or speaking out against the government.

I also had a friend who's father was a member of the Shah's government who felt the same way. He signed up as a translator and was shipped off.
