Of course it's not. And it's also misinterpreted 9 times out of 10.

Well, hey, it looks like the atheists here do know that separation of church and state is not part of our Constitution. I'm impressed! A lot of Christians don't even know that.

The 1st Amendment states: "The government shall not make a religion or prohibit the free exercise thereof."

The founders say we are created a Christian nation, but that we will not control the religions of people who come here, because that's what Britain did to them. They did not want the government to be in churches, but they did want Christian principles to stay in government, not be separated from it.

The same day they created that law, they sent $25,000 to a Catholic missionary to build a mission to help the Indians in St. Louis.

Thomas Jefferson wrote “separation of church and state” in a letter to a bunch of pastors (Nehemiah Dodge, Ephraim Robbins, and Stephen S. Nelson, a Committee of the Danbury Association in Danbury, CT in 1802). That's where people get that from, but it has nothing to do with government documents.

www.wallbuilders.com is a great website discussing this and other things about our Founding Fathers, constitution and other things on that topic.

I have a question? Why do you start all of these threads? It appears that you are attempting to bait people into replying with something incorrect or uninformed so you can belittle them. That isnt cool and actually shows your pathology and not theirs. Look up histrionic personality disorder. You will find that you are a poster child for it...along with a couple of the cluster A disorders.

It's not that he's an idiot (which he is) It's the fact that he also blatantly lies.

I post the stuff for informational and debate purposes. I do it also to see what people believe. Some people find information in the posts helpful. BlackSnake, I think it was, said that he finds the information useful. And I enjoy pointing out illogical arguments and beliefs and pseudo-science too. That's not a disorder, nor does it fit your disorder. I have no desire to belittle people. If someone will have a civilized conversation with me without character assassination on me, I'll do the same with them. I've had plenty of very civil discussions on other forums with friendly, civil people. This forum, though, is quite different, because the atheists are extremely insecure and they hate it when I bring up stuff which makes their beliefs illogical or disproves them or things of that nature. They HAAAAATTTEEEE me here. lol But on some forums, we have perfectly civic conversations where no one is belittled.

But you do it to get an opposition's side to debate you. I'm not sure if it is a personality disorder, rather than insecurity crying out through your posts. Do you debate with yourself in your head like this?

You see, there is a difference between posting up information or your personal point of view for informational purposes and just posting up thread after thread asking people what their take is on a subject so you can pounce on the first response you get.

Dude, it's your delivery and your thought content. Your character is being attacked because of your ignorant and condescending posts. Of course you dont see it because you obviously have some psychological issues going on. I have treated many psychotic patients and you definitely have some type of psychiatric disorder. Are you currently being treated for one? This is an honest assessment and not a character assassination.

Can we all at least agree that separation of Church and State is a good thing?

Look at places where they do not have a secular society.... you jealous?
