"It is in truth not for glory, nor riches, nor honours that we are fighting, but for freedom - for that alone, which no honest man gives up but with life itself."
huh? not sure if sarcastic or serious about guns against the law there...
'Will gun prohibition make you and your family safer? The evidence from cities in the US where guns have already been virtually banned is not reassuring.
If banning guns worked, Washington, DC and New York City would be the safest cities in the country. Since 1976, it's been illegal in Washington, DC to own any handguns or to keep any type of gun in your home unlocked and fully assembled. However, Washington, DC is the "murder capital of the United States."
New York City has had severe gun control laws since 1911, yet it also ranks among the most dangerous places in the country. In both cities, violent criminals can easily obtain the most deadly weapons on the streets within minutes.'
It is true that they have some of the most restrictive laws against guns in the country. An uncle drives semi trucks and he has told me they will routinely pull the truckers over and search for guns, said you don't want to get caught. As for being straight out black and white 100% against the law, probably not. It is extremely difficult to get a license there, so in essence my comment is accurate, at least based on the limited information that I have.
From the same article: 'In New York City there are an estimated 700,000 to 3 million unregistered firearms. In California, less than 2% of the 2 million owners of semi-automatic rifles have registered their guns in compliance with state law – even though failure to register is a felony!
It may not even be possible to enforce a gun ban. The New York State commissioner of prisons testified that if 1% of illegal gun owners in New York City were caught, tried, and sent to prison for a year, the state prison system would collapse.'
Nifty. You apparently even have to have a license to possess ammunition!
'Only a licensed handgun owner is allowed to possess ammunition suitable for the licensed handgun and is allowed to possess an ammunition feeding device for the licensed handgun, but not to exceed 17 rounds capacity.'
Established in 1975, the Institute for Legislative Action (ILA) is the "lobbying" arm of the National Rifle Association of America. ILA is responsible for preserving the right of all law-abiding individuals in the legislative, political, and legal arenas, to purchase, possess and use firearms for legitimate purposes as guaranteed by the Second Amendment to the U.S. Constitution.
i would have walked out with my machete to do a little tree pruning. its amazing how fast seeing your fellow hardass get filleted on a front lawn can take the fight right out of ya.
god bless.

If your attacker is less then 3 feet away from you a hand gun becomes a HUGE liability instead of an asset. When it comes to getting physical with one person holding a sword and the other 5 or 10 or 20 are empty handed the person holding the handle usually wins.
Magnus, I am your father. You need to ask your mother about a man named Calvin Klein.

I presented this up the other day and my firearms guy was not as amused as the rest of us. I even offered up to design a kilt for them.
