You signed up got benefits that evens out the slate no one owes you anymore that those on welfare..... It was a job that was a contract that you took... I was at the meps at 18 ready to sign and didn’t and took a diff option..... Should you get a check after you where hurt on the job? yes, should the person that can’t feed themselves get food stamps why not, we can fund wars that don’t do SHIT for us here why not feed our own, have you been in some of these peoples shoes? I don’t care how you put it MOST of you including me haven’t and that means.... and I have been through some tough shit! Serving, I serve my country in a different form and so does every American that doesn’t go to war!
And can you point out the federal power in the constitution to provide food stamps? There's only 18 enumerated powers and a couple more in the amendments. Do show me. War is a constitutional expense, welfare is a state, not federal responsibility

How have you served and sacrificed for the Republic?
Aaah. Well, in all fairness, I was going to ship for MCRD and went over my contract prior to shipping at MEPS and found that my recruiter lied to me and tried to ship me open contract, when he told me he had me setup in my MOS ready to go. I did not join the military. If you stretch the definition of "chickening out" then I did as well, I'd prefer to call it "not getting screwed over."
