Retirees May Lose TRICARE Prime

According to reports, Senator John McCain (R-AZ) has stepped up his push to block working age retirees from using TRICARE Prime. McCain suggested to the powerful 12-member Joint Select Committee on Debt Reduction it would help avoid spending cuts that would directly impact readiness.

I didnt read the article... I doubt they will lose their health coverage, it just wont be top tier. I could be wrong but Tricare vs Tricare prime sounds like a tiered system

A) go to standard which means higher fees, enrollment costs and more out of pockets for doctor's visits and prescriptions
B) you get kicked off Tricare completely and have to find your own insurance

My father-in-law was covered under Tricare..That coverage kept him out of the poor house and from becoming financially broke from all his health problems.
I concur with you guys that the vets deserve the best.
