I could be mistaken, but I believe his dislike for DR is his investment strategies and their low level of risk. As you know, Dave doesn't recommend to day trade or put money in risky, big pay-out items.

who gives horrible advice and has that shit-eating hubris about him. As I've also said many times: if you're a complete moron with money, perhaps he can help you and that is the sole purpose he serves. I've seen some of his "advice" and it isn't financially sound by any stretch of the imagination. Some of his "followers" are just as bad as he is. Just look at TDD on here. Guy doesn't know his head from his ass but comes on here trying to chastise me or Al P. It's clear the guy is a complete idiot with finances or he wouldn't have had to turn to ramsey in the first place.

I like what was in the original post. I think Ramsey is smarter than he acts but he has to cater to his audience who are the people that want to break away from pawn shops, payday advance stores and title loan companies. It is a simple crowd that really doesn't understand how money works. I think we need more people like him to cater to these people since we don't prepare people for money management in high school. It is along the same lines of what Warren Buffett wants to do, although Buffett is targeting a younger audience.

You'll never get wealthy following Ramsey's advance but you'll never starve to death either.

Dave Ramsey and Suze Orman have the same message for every person in different situations. Although, like what was said earlier, they both do serve a purpose to certain people... but don't expect to ever be worry-free. You'l make it, working until you die.
