Ramadan is in the summer sometimes; we operate off of a solar calendar and Muslims operate off of a lunar calendar. The days don't add up precisely and can be off by 3 or 4 days depending on when the full moon hits. When I lived in Saudi Ramadan was in September but it will eventually work it's way around to June or July, though I can't remember exactly how long it takes to do that (several years I believe). I remember seeing calendars with both the lunar and solar calendars together to kind of predict when holidays were and to help plan vacations for both Muslims and Expats, and there was always a 2 or 3 day window for each month because you never knew on what solar day the lunar month would start. Actually I think I still have one of them in my old wallet from the prayer schedule we were given.
