  • Hillary Clinton crushes Rick Perry, Mitt Romney

Think the dems would ever have the smarts or the balls to no run berry again?

Secretary of State Hillary Clinton would trounce Republican presidential candidates Rick Perry and Mitt Romney in hypothetical head-to-head matchups for the presidency, a new poll shows.

Clinton would beat former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney by 17 points, 55 percent-38 percent, according to Time magazine. And the former first lady would blow away Texas Gov. Rick Perry by 26 points, 58 percent-32 percent.

In contrast, that same poll shows that Obama leads Romney by only 3 percentage points and Perry by 12 points.

The Secretary of State has repeatedly said “no” when asked whether she would run for president, in 2012 or 2016. Asked on NBC’s “Today” two weeks ago whether she would consider running for president again, Clinton said unequivocally, “no.”

“I’m very privileged to have had the opportunity to serve my country. I’m really old-fashioned. I feel I have made my contribution. I have done the best I can. But now I want to try some other things. I want to get back to writing and maybe some teaching, working on women and girls around the world,” Clinton said on Oct. 17. “I think it’s time for others to step up.”

I'd like to know who did the poll and who they polled to get these results.

*A national poll conducted for TIME on Oct. 9 and 10 found that if Clinton were the Democratic nominee for President in 2012, she would best Mitt Romney 55% to 38%, Rick Perry 58% to 32% and Herman Cain 56% to 34% among likely voters in a general election. The same poll found that President Obama would edge Romney by just 46% to 43%, Perry by 50% to 38% and Cain by 49% to 37% among likely voters.

If anyone is on the Dem ticket besides Obama, it will be a total game changer.

I have been voting Dem. most of my life, since the early 70's. And yes I voted for Obama, thinking there would be change. I don't blame Obama for all the problems we have now, because I have always believed that a president is only as good as his congress and senate. I do think if Hilary Clinton was nominated and won we would not be in such a bad position we are in now.
With that said I WILL NOT vote for Obama and turn my vote to the GOP and right now my money is on Herman Cane. JMO

You do realize that the democrats controlled the house and the senate from 2006-2010?

              Your location makes more sense.....

The ONLY reason this crop of republicans is even in the building is due to Obama being a sack of shit. All of the republican candidates are soft and hardly worthy of a vote on their own merits.

And this is how Obama won the election. If the GOP would get off its ass and trot out someone legit, everyone would be better off. They need to stop with hail marys like Palin.

I agree. I'm sorely disappointed with the current options. In a normal election, I wouldn't vote for a single one of them.

I think it's time for a 3rd party to form -- one that's based on real values, carries guns where everyone can see them, pays cash for their own stuff at the end of a 10 hour work day, and believes in the concept of you get what you deserve. That would put D.C. in its place.

The sooner people realize they're all for the same agenda the sooner America can get turned in the right direction.
Our Constitution & Liberty are on the chopping block, there is only one candidate that is for both 100%, and he ran as a republican, but knows dems & rep. are one of the same.
