Littering and pissing in public arent arrestable offenses AFAIK. My point is, this isnt about littering and all that. This is about govt quieting the masses.

Are there idiots that are going to strike a cop? Sure, arrest them for it. But this was supposedly a march through the city. I would have the same issue if cops would have started attacking tea partiers at that protest where tea party members supposedly spit on govt officials and called them names. Arrest the problem people and stop launching tear gas into the masses.

I know Im making this out to be too simple. I know at some point things get out of control enough to warrant riot gear. And I know these are some morons doing these protests. But when a cop launches a flash bang into a crowd of people trying to help someone that is dying then there is a HUGE problem.

They tried asking, they tried pushing them back, but the OWS kept trying to return to the park after being told to leave. At that point they are no longer protesting, they are trespassing. Or do you think you can't be trespassed off a public park? Or arrested for curfew violations or noise violations? Or setting up camping equipment in a park that doesn't allow it?

And if it was strictly about quieting the masses, they would have ordered them off the property on day one, they would not have gave them the warning to leave weeks later and then gave them days afterwards to obey that order.

Lawful order, meaning just that. Can you not understand it? It was issued from a court, not some order from a beat cop with an attitude. Do you want to question the order from the judge? Go to court. If I get ordered by a court, I have to follow the order or proceed through legal means in an effort to change that order, I don't have the right to ignore that order.

Where did I say anyone has been jailed? I said people who break the law by disobeying a court order along with other crimes need to be jailed. From your statements you see it differently, as you believe as long that as someone is demonstrating they should be allowed to be above the law.
